Pupils of 4 years A and 4 years B singing the song " Finger family"

The pupils of the strawberries class and the orange class show us the "finger family song" that they learn in the English class.

Black Friday Origin

In the 1980s, the term “Black Friday” began to be used by retailers to refer to the single day of the year when retail companies finally go “into the black” (make a profit) after being "in the red" for much of the year.

But that's not the only theory behind the name.

Rumours have also circulated that the term came from an invented tradition to sell slaves the day after Thanksgiving, while others think its original could be much more recent.

In an article from 1994 , the late journalist wrote that the cops used the term to describe the horrible traffic jams that happened when people poured into town on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

He wrote: "It was the day that Santa Claus took his chair in the department stores and every kid in the city wanted to see him. It was the first day of the Christmas shopping season. Schools were closed. Late in the day, out-of-town visitors began arriving for the Army-Navy football game.

Communicative competence in 2º A and 2º B classes

Since last week students classes 2ºA and 2º B are doing oral presentations to develop communicative competence in English. To do this, every day three students previously chosen, show to their classmates their ability to speak English. The text to be learned is very easy, although some of them are able to include a few more sentences. It is very important to work first at home in front of the mirror and the family, so that not only is telling something, but also do accompanying gestures and body language. The text to be learned is:  Hello, my name is ...... ..... I'm years old. My favorite color is ....... Good bye !!! Those who are more adventurous can include phrases with grammatical structures they have learned in the unit 1 as: I can ride a bike I can rollerblade I can dance ...

Hello, my name is...... I´m ..... years old. My favourite colour is .......Good bye!!!

I can ride a bike
I can rollerblade
I can dance...

It's been there for several years and currently live in Switzerland where attending an international school. There besides English, they learn German and French too. After their presentation, the students were able to ask questions to which they have responded very kindly. It was an interesting experience.

http://www.educatube.es/tema/aprende-ingles-cantando/
https://miclasedeingles.wordpress.com/category/canciones-con-subtitulos-ingles-espanol/

Duolingo
To learn aprender verbos en ingles
Color verbs
